Your whole portfolio in one place

List your investments and loans to see your asset mix, net portfolio and expected return, then share a data sheet with your adviser. Nothing you enter leaves your device unless you send it.

All return and interest rates are as given by you, the investor. SoloInvestor does not suggest or check them. This is a record of what you enter, not investment advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is a portfolio summary?

It is a short data sheet of your investments and loans: what you have, your asset mix, your net portfolio and the return you expect. An investment adviser can read it before a first meeting, instead of asking you for the same details.

You can download it as a PDF to read, or a CSV to open in a spreadsheet.

Is my information sent to SoloInvestor?

No. Everything you enter stays in your browser, and your PDF, CSV and saved file are created on your own device. We do not run ads or Google Analytics on this page, and the page tells your browser not to send form data elsewhere.

During your visit, your entries are kept in this browser tab so a refresh does not lose them. They go when you close the tab, or when you press Clear everything. You choose who receives your file.

Where do the return and interest rates come from?

From you. All return and interest rates are as given by the investor. SoloInvestor does not suggest or check them, and nothing is filled in for you. They are not forecasts or guarantees, and real returns can be lower or negative.

An item without a rate is left out of the expected return or interest. The data sheet says that the rates are as given by the investor.

How is the net expected return worked out?

We multiply each asset by its expected return, and each loan by its interest rate, for one year. We take away the interest from the expected gain, then divide by your counted assets less your loans.

For example, ₹1,00,00,000 of assets expected to gain ₹9,00,000, with ₹30,00,000 of loans costing ₹2,55,000 in interest, gives ₹6,45,000 on ₹70,00,000, or 9.21%.

This is before tax and inflation. Interest is an estimate based on today's pending amount. Items with no rate are left out of the sum.

How do I enter a hybrid fund, multi-asset fund or NPS?

Enter the percentage in each class, using the latest factsheet or statement: equity and debt for a hybrid fund or NPS, and equity, debt and gold for a multi-asset fund. It must total 100% before you can download the PDF or CSV. The pie chart then divides the value between those classes.

Why is the home I live in left out of the chart?

It counts in your net portfolio, but by default it is left out of the pie chart and expected return, because it cannot easily be sold to fund your goals. Including it can make you look far more invested in real estate than you really are. To include it, tick the box on that item.

Should I enter account numbers?

No, they are not needed. A short name such as "HDFC savings" or "Pune flat" is enough for an adviser. Leaving out account numbers also makes the file less risky to share. Never enter passwords, PINs or OTPs.

How do I update it later?

Press Save file to keep your entries on your device, optionally with a password. Next time, press Open saved file and pick that file, then update your amounts. Your file is never uploaded. If you forget the password, nobody can open the file, including us.

Is the PDF protected?

No. The PDF and CSV are not password protected, so share them only with people you trust, and prefer a private channel. The saved file is the only one that can have a password.
